Developing and Testing Unmanned Vehicle Autonomy

Presented Jointly by the Atlanta Chapters of AUVSI and ITEA

 Workshop on

Developing and Testing Unmanned Vehicle Autonomy

With rapid advances in unmanned vehicle autonomy technologies, the schism between     developers and testers grows ever wider. Developers are generating new autonomy capabilities while testers question options of how to effectively and efficiently assess these advances. This gap in communication inhibits both communities because it limits rapid acceptance of new capabilities demanded by consumers. In addition, a lack of experimentation options for developers and few, well-developed and usable standards to support interoperability exacerbates this problem.  This workshop brings together leaders from industry, military, and academia to identify challenges and advance discussions on developing and testing autonomous systems.
